Pedestrian Research

There are many issues on pedestrians that have not been solved. Pedestrian researches have wide problems related to safety from traffic accident and evacuation, promotion and encouragement of walking, data collection, design, planning and evaluation of pedestrian facilities, routing until simulation and modeling.

I have been involved in pedestrian research since 1999 and recently, I have developed new method of hybrid simulation (micro-meso-macro) as well as novel algorithms to determine dynamic traffic route flow in a traffic network or 3D lattice grid through Route Choice Self-Organization. This method is very useful to predict route choice probability, route flow, evacuation time and other network optimization flow performance such as system delay, average speed and Nash equilibrium (User equilibrium) of the multiagent pedestrian movement in a network graph or lattice grid.
