Why Use Simulation?

• Tough the analytical model for microscopic pedestrian model does exist, the numerical solution of the model is very difficult and simulation is favorable.
• It has ability to visualize the movement of each pedestrian in a plan as animation

Available microscopic pedestrian simulation models:

• Multi-agents system
• Cellular Automata
• Dynamical system Equations (differential or difference equations)
• Queuing Network
• Monte Carlo
